My fears were the fears of us all*

2025

This installation is composed of found and ready-made objects, centered on a pair of sea shells that evoke ovaries, breasts, or forms of protective armor. Once sheltering soft bodies, these natural shells now rest on a mirrored surface that invites viewers to look at themselves, both as individuals and as part of a collective, positioning reflection as an ethical and shared act rather than a purely visual one.

At the center of the installation stands a raw, peeled tree trunk. The juxtaposition of hollow shells and exposed wood articulates a tension between vulnerability and protection, mirroring the emotional landscape the work seeks to inhabit and make visible.
