12,000

2016

The work has 12,000 printed logos of a closed textile mill Kreenholm in Narva, Estonia; the highest number of the employees who worked there at its best times. The stamp was gifted to me by one of the former workers, who I interviewed. Sized 1x1cm, it was used, as one of many other stamps, at the control check department to highlight the defects on fabric for the further cutting out. I decided to stamp this logo 12,000 times thinking of each worker who lost their job with the closure of the mill, including my own parents.
